DR. PRASHANT GUPTA
Senior Assistant Professor

Dr. Gupta is currently serving as a Senior Assistant Professor in Plastic and Polymer Engineering at the School of Engineering, Plastindia International University. Prior to this role, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic and Polymer Engineering at Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Aurangabad for 7.5 years. He also held leadership and managerial positions in polymer compounding, processing, and composites for a period of 4 years. Dr. Gupta holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Engineering and Technology, a Master’s in Plastics Engineering, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Chemical Technology Management (Gold Medallist) from the prestigious Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly UDCT), Mumbai. With a journey spanning over 21 years in polymers, his expertise encompasses research areas such as polymer composites, biomaterials, nanomaterials, and the use of ICT in teaching-learning. He has extensive experience in consultancy, teaching various aspects of polymer engineering, and

industry roles, with a focus on R&D.

Dr. Gupta is a seasoned academician and a respected industry trainer in the Polymer domain. He has conducted 25+ virtual and on-site masterclass courses and corporate training programs for the Polymerupdate Academy, Mumbai, benefiting over 1000 industry personnel from different management levels. He has a significant research portfolio, with over 35 international publications in renowned peer-reviewed journals and books published by Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, and Springer. He has presented technical papers at numerous international conferences and is recognized internationally as a content developer and mentor in engineering and technology education.
